Bobbi L. Newman

Service and Leadership

Intro

Bobbi L. Newman’s leadership and service span faculty governance, national professional associations, and federally funded program development. As Associate Professor of Practice at the University of Iowa SLIS, she serves on the MA Exit Assessment Committee, Admissions Review Committee, and the Capstone Portfolio Design and Implementation Committee, and serves as Undergraduate-to-Graduate (U2G) Coordinator, advising students in accelerated 4+1 tracks.

Beyond the University, she has served in elected and appointed leadership roles across the American Library Association, the Iowa Library Association, and other national organizations. She is a frequent keynote speaker on leadership, workplace well-being, and equity.
